LAMP's curriculum has been designed to fulfill the requirements of the uniform curriculum of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). This gives graduates of LAMP the eligibility for ordination in the PCA.
Authorization
LAMP is in compliance with Section 1005.(6)(f), Florida Statutes, and is therefore not under the jurisdiction or purview of the Commission for Independent Education and is not required to obtain licensure. The degree programs for LAMP are designed solely for religious purposes.

Accreditation
LAMP has been accepted into the candidacy status with the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries (A.R.T.S.) ARTS is a growing accrediting association comprised of graduate institutions that hold to the doctrines of the Reformed faith. For more information about ARTS, visit their website at www.artseminaries.org |
Affiliation
LAMP board of Directors has decided to file for affiliate status with the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). ABHE is recognized by the U. S. Department of Education as an accrediting governing body. The "affiliate status" will allow LAMP to take advantage of the many programs and services that the Association provides. This presents LAMP with the opportunity of inclusion on the Association website and a listing in the ABHE Directory, along with the opportunity to network with like institutions, to gain additional assistance working toward the accreditation process and access to the consultative services of ABHE.
LAMP Fulfilling The Call
LAMP has been used in fulfilling the call of several individuals who have graduated LAMP and serve as Teaching Elders (Pastors) and Ruling Elders in SE Florida, New York, West Florida, Georgia and Chicago.
USDOE and Transfer of Credits
The United States Department
of Education (USDOE) wrote in its publication on
accreditation, that
"Accreditation does not provide automatic acceptance
by an institution of credit earned in another
institution…[A]cceptance of students or graduates is
always the prerogative of the receiving institution…
[F]or this reason…students should take additional
measures to determine, prior to enrollment, whether
or not their educational goals will be met through attendance
at a particular institution. These measures
should include inquiries to institutions to which
transfer might be desired…"
All degree programs of LAMP Theological Seminary are
intended for religious training in ecclesiastical vocations and
are taught from the perspective of a Christian world-and-life
view. We encourage all students to consider the above
recommendation of the USDOE prior to enrolling with LAMP.
This is especially important since the USDOE will not even
ensure transfer of credits from one of their own accredited
institutions to another.
